CWPN Fiber Arts Ministry

Welcome to the Fiber Arts Ministry of the CT Welcoming Pagan Network!

This ministry is open to fiber crafters of all kinds: knitters, crocheters, weavers, quilters, embroiderers and makers who feel called to use their creative gifts in service to others. Our focus is to create handmade items that offer comfort, care, and connection to those in need throughout Connecticut.

Makers are invited to create independently, infusing their pieces with their own prayers and blessings. Completed items may be donated directly to our designated charitable partners throughout the year in the name of the CWPN Fiber Arts Ministry.

This initiative is rooted in service, compassion, and the belief that handmade items carry something powerful within them: time, care, and heart.

Project Inspiration & Charitable Partners

We make a variety of items including:

Prayer or spell shawls
Wedding shawls and handfasting cords
Comfort dolls & plushies
Hats, mittens, socks, scarves
Altar cloths & tarot, gemstone, or spell pouches
Baby blankets & memory quilts
Talismans and seasonal items
…whatever you can think of or are inspired to create for others!

Each month may have a suggested project or magical theme, but you’re always welcome to make what speaks to your spirit.
We are trying to utilize the Wheel of the Year as inspiration – for example handfasting cords in time for Beltane, winter warmth items in time for Yule.

Animal Rescues

  • Happily Furever After Rescue: https://www.happilyfureverafter.org/ The most helpful items tend to be pet-related, such as handmade blankets (fleece or washable materials work best), small pet beds, and dog and cat toys

Children/Foster Care Organizations

  • Connecticut Alliance of Foster & Adoptive Families: https://cafafct.org/
Looking for baby hats and baby blankets, hold off on winter items.
  • The Village for Families and Children: https://thevillage.org/
Looking for baby blankets, baby hats and baby booties for a community baby shower coming up in May for approximately 70 new moms.  These women would not have any family that would be able to celebrate them with a baby shower.
    NEEDED BY MAY 1ST
